Searching for Stars

The lotus, with its star like silhouette, symbolizes overcoming adversity as it emerges from murky, muddy waters and creates a beautiful, pristine blossom. It can inspire us to move from suffering to spiritual growth. This morning I had a question about yesterday’s prayer flag post. Please understand that I’m not trying to trivialize the horrid circumstances going on around us by suggesting we search for stars. I’m struggling with the same concerns others are. If I can take action and make a difference, I do. But when we are powerless to change something, feeling hurt and anger will only poison us, not anyone else. I’m trying to guard my health and inner peace, and I’m hoping you’ll do the same so you’ll be healthy, strong and centered when the time comes that our actions will make a difference.
